Part 3: 2010 – 2016
July 19, 2010
This is a simple guitar/bass riff with some swirling chorus on it.
April 23, 2011
This piece uses a programmed bass line on top of drum loops. A recorded guitar loop is pitch-shifted over it and a provided horn loop is on top of all that.
April 24, 2011
This piece has two recorded guitar tracks and a recorded bass track on top of driving drum loops.

This one started with a bass line, to which i added a couple of guitar tracks, and then the whole thing just stops. I think that often i get the germ of idea, then i don’t have any idea where to go with it.
Or i just start over and an entirely new thing emerges. Programmed bass, two guitar tracks. I’m pretty sure that these tracks were recorded straight into Garage Band with my electric guitar, although sometimes i direct-in my acoustic guitar.

A simple guitar riff with a little squeaky melody over it. I don’t remember if i played the bass line or if it was a provided loop.

This piece is another riff that i’ve had in my arsenal for decades. I probably came up with it in the late 80s when i would put the background strumming into my digital delay and play the plucky part over it. There’s a second part to this which i didn’t record for some reason.

Another strummy-background song, but this one is more fully formed, with a recorded bass part and more of a verse/chorus structure. It also has a fade-in.
December 12, 2015
This piece was built entirely from provided synth, drum, and bass loops, with a little weird asian instrument at the end.
April 10, 2016
This is a quick drum and guitar piece. I don’t remember if i played the bass part or if it was a provided loop, but i played the guitar part over it.
